SR Biotek Launches in the UK

South Korean skincare technology company SR Biotek has launched its IDENEL Professional range in the UK through an exclusive distribution agreement with Wigmore Medical, the longest-established aesthetics distributor in the country.

IDENEL is built around SR Biotek's proprietary ALTUM Peptide Technology, a patented delivery platform that binds active ingredients to microscopic spicules derived from freshwater sponge skeletons. These structures, smaller than a pore, penetrate the skin to deliver actives directly to targeted layers without injections. Ingredients remain stable during delivery and are released upon contact with specific skin biomarkers, enabling precise, controlled absorption and measurable improvements in texture, tone and recovery with minimal downtime. The technology was developed over 22 years by Dr Byungho Song, the chemist behind the Altum Peptide, whose research was driven by a focus on safer, less invasive aesthetic treatments.

Leading the professional offering is the PEPTAXEL Professional System, the first product within the Glassifier portfolio. The flexible two-step protocol is designed to be adapted to a broad range of skin concerns across four treatment types: intensive rejuvenation targeting skin laxity and pores; rejuvenation combined with pigmentation correction; targeted acne care with pore refinement; and recovery-phase care addressing post-inflammatory pigmentation.

The at-home range, available exclusively through Wigmore Medical and retailed via clinics, extends clinical results between appointments. It includes the Intensive Repair Locking Cream, a post-treatment recovery cream for damaged and sensitive skin; the Enhancing AI Cream, which targets inflammation, relieves irritation and strengthens the barrier; and the Intensive Repair Daily Sun Serum, a moisture-rich SPF serum with micro-capsule technology and blue light protection formulated for sensitised, post-treatment skin.

Wigmore Medical brings more than 30 years of experience to the partnership, having grown from an original pharmacy specialising in medical equipment into the UK's leading one-stop aesthetics distributor. IDENEL was first previewed at the Wigmore Presents 2026 event, where it generated strong interest from clinicians ahead of the formal launch.
