Officine Universelle Buly Baume Nettoyant Superfin

Officine Universelle Buly has launched the Baume Nettoyant Superfin, a creamy cleansing balm in tube form that removes makeup including eye makeup, purifies, revitalises and cleanses in a single step. The formula is COSMOS Organic certified by Cosmécert and carries the brand's characteristic orange blossom scent.

The formula is built around sesame oil, rich in fatty acids to soften the skin; plum oil to soothe the epidermis; seawater to boost vitality; and kaolin to regulate excess sebum and comfort sensitive skin. The tube itself, designed by Ramdane Touhami, follows the same baroque aesthetic codes as the brand's boutiques, with richly wrought detailing that makes the packaging as considered as the formula inside.

Officine Universelle Buly traces its origins to 1803, when perfumer Jean-Vincent Bully opened on rue Saint-Honoré in Paris, becoming known for his Vinaigre de Toilette during an era when soap and water were scarce among fashionable Parisian society. The house eventually closed, remaining dormant for more than a century before being rediscovered by entrepreneurs Ramdane Touhami and Victoire de Taillac-Touhami, who pored over original Bully catalogues from the 1800s and made research trips to the Paris National Archives before reopening the brand on Rue Bonaparte in 2014. Touhami had previously revived Cire Trudon, the world's oldest wax manufacturer, before turning his attention to Buly. The brand, now part of LVMH, operates across more than 50 locations globally and offers over 800 products spanning skincare, fragrance, accessories and apothecary goods.
