British skincare brand The Glowcery is expanding into the beauty supplements category with the launch of Formula A Renewal Glow Capsules, a new vitamin A-based supplement developed to support skin health from within, particularly for consumers experiencing stress-related skin concerns. The new product marks a category expansion for the vegan skincare brand, founded by former lawyer and skincare formulator Roshanne Dorsett. Known for its nutrient-dense, superfood-inspired formulations, The Glowcery is extending its approach to skin health beyond topical products with a supplement combining vitamins, minerals, probiotics and plant-derived ingredients.
Formula A has been developed as an alternative approach for consumers interested in the benefits of vitamin A but who may struggle with the irritation sometimes associated with topical retinol. The supplement is formulated to support normal skin function, with the brand positioning it as a complementary addition to skincare routines rather than a replacement for topical retinoids. At the centre of the 13-ingredient formulation is retinyl acetate, a form of vitamin A that contributes to the maintenance of normal skin. It is combined with vitamin C, which supports normal collagen formation, and niacinamide, a form of vitamin B3 that also contributes to normal skin maintenance. Zinc and copper provide additional nutritional support, with zinc contributing to the protection of cells from oxidative stress and copper supporting normal skin pigmentation.
The vegan formula also incorporates Lactobacillus acidophilus and chicory root fibre, alongside spermidine, a naturally occurring compound being investigated for its role in cellular processes. Turmeric and black pepper complete the blend, with the latter included to support the absorption of turmeric-derived compounds. Developed over two years in collaboration with a registered nutritionist, Formula A reflects increasing interest in ingestible beauty products that combine established nutritional ingredients with emerging research into the relationship between the skin, gut and nervous system.
The Glowcery's expansion highlights the growing overlap between skincare, nutritional supplements and holistic wellness, as brands explore opportunities to address consumer concerns through both topical and ingestible formulations.
Formula A Renewal Glow Capsules are designed to be taken twice daily and will launch on 4 November 2026, priced at £42, through The Glowcery's website.
