Moroccanoil has expanded its haircare portfolio with the launch of Overnight Leave-In Mask, a new no-rinse treatment combining argan oil, hyaluronic acid and vegan snail mucin to deliver intensive hydration while sleeping.
Developed for all hair types, particularly dry and dehydrated hair, the lightweight formula is designed to improve moisture retention, reduce frizz and minimise tangling without leaving residue on the hair or pillow. Unlike traditional rinse-out masks, the treatment remains on the hair overnight, allowing users to style as usual the following morning.
The launch reflects the growing influence of skincare ingredients and routines on the haircare category, with Moroccanoil incorporating actives more commonly associated with facial treatments into its latest innovation.
At the centre of the formulation is a blend of seven molecular weights of hyaluronic acid, designed to hydrate and soften the hair while improving elasticity. This is combined with the brand's signature antioxidant-rich argan oil, which provides nourishment, and a bio-engineered vegan alternative to snail mucin, inspired by the popular K-beauty ingredient. The latter helps condition the hair and smooth the cuticle to retain moisture.
The Overnight Leave-In Mask increases hair hydration fourfold after eight hours, while making hair three times easier to detangle the following morning, with hydrating benefits lasting for up to three washes. In consumer testing, 96% of participants agreed that their hair looked and felt healthy, while 94% reported lasting smoothness.
The treatment is applied to damp or dry hair from mid-lengths to ends before bedtime, with the recommended quantity varying according to hair thickness and texture. It can also be used during the day to refresh second- or third-day hair.
Moroccanoil Overnight Leave-In Mask is available in two sizes, priced at £18 for 50ml and £39 for 120ml, through the brand's UK website and selected retailers, including John Lewis and LOOKFANTASTIC.
