Kama Ayurveda Amsuman Daily Sun Shield

Kama Ayurveda has launched Amsuman, its first sun protection product, a SPF50 PA++++ daily sun shield.

Amsuman goes beyond UVA and UVB protection to address the full spectrum of daily ageing aggressors, including blue light, pollution, oxidation and inflammation. The 98% natural-origin formula combines Ayurvedic botanicals with derm-grade UV filters. Karanja AOX Oil provides natural UV-protective and antioxidant properties, soybean oil creates a shield against pollution, and rice extract, rich in antioxidants, defends against blue light exposure.

Clinical results show 100% protection against daily ageing factors including UVA, UVB, blue light, oxidation, pollution and inflammation; up to 71% protection against pollution at dermis level; a 90% reduction in skin inflammaging; and 100% prevention against visible signs of ageing including wrinkles, dark spots and loss of elasticity. The lightweight, invisible formula is dermatologically tested, including on Indian skin, and suitable for all skin types including sensitive.

Kama Ayurveda was founded in 2002 by Vivek Sahni, whose journey into Ayurveda began when he rediscovered medicinal preparations from Vedic books under the guidance of an Ayurvedic guru in Kerala, the historical cradle of Ayurveda. The brand launched with treatments developed in partnership with the 100-year-old Arya Vaidya Pharmacy in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, and has since grown to span skin, hair, body and wellness categories across 65 exclusive stores in India and 36 countries globally. Puig acquired a majority stake in the brand in 2022. Kama Ayurveda launched its UK e-commerce platform in 2023, with a physical presence at Harrods, making Amsuman its first SPF available to British consumers

Available now at Kama Ayurveda.
