Takami launches in the UK
Japanese skincare brand Takami has launched in the UK, available exclusively at Space NK.
Founded in Tokyo in 1999 by board-certified dermatologist Dr Hiroshi Takami, the clinic-born brand is built around the philosophy that skin health is a daily practice. Takami focuses on gentle, consistent renewal, barrier support and long-term skin quality, rather than aggressive resurfacing or high-irritation treatments.
The UK launch is led by Daily Renewing Soft Peel, the brand’s cult hero serum and first product developed by Dr Takami. Known in Asia as the “little blue bottle”, the water-like formula is designed to gently refine the skin’s surface, support natural cell turnover and improve the appearance of visible pores, roughness, uneven texture and dullness. The formula uses Takami’s patented Soft Peel technology and seven enzymatic extracts to support daily renewal while respecting the skin barrier. It is fragrance-free and alcohol-free, and is suitable for sensitive skin and daily use.
The wider UK collection includes products focused on cleansing, hydration, barrier care, targeted serums and body care. The range includes Moisture Rich Face Foam, Barrier Essential Milk, Micro Gel PGA+HA, Golden 5C Brightening Serum, Vitamin B3+ Spot Serum, CeraB5+Cica Barrier Serum, Soft Peel Mask and Soft Peel Body Treatment.
The launch reflects the growing appetite for Japanese skincare in the UK, particularly routines that prioritise consistency, precision and skin barrier health. Takami’s approach is positioned as a gentler alternative to traditional peeling, with products designed to deliver cumulative results over time.
Takami is part of L’Oréal Luxe and is described by the group as “clinic born” and “Tokyo made”. The brand builds on more than 26 years of clinical expertise and the treatment of more than 480,000 patients.
Takami is available now exclusively at Space NK, with prices ranging from £20 to £58.
