ChitoCare Waterless Enzyme Cleanser

ChitoCare Beauty has introduced a Waterless Enzyme Cleanser, combining enzyme exfoliation with marine chitosan and Icelandic geothermal silica in a powder that becomes a soft lather when mixed with water. Designed for daily cleansing, the formula targets surface build-up, make-up and impurities while helping to maintain skin comfort.

The exfoliating blend brings together papaya fruit extract, papain and protease to help lift away dead skin cells and refine uneven texture. Rather than relying on abrasive particles, the cleanser uses enzymes to leave skin feeling smoother and looking brighter, with hydration and barrier support also central to the formulation.

Marine chitosan, a marine-derived biopolymer, is included to help support the skin’s natural protective barrier and retain moisture. Alongside it, geothermal silica helps absorb excess oil and impurities. The silica is recovered from the mineral-rich wastewater of an Icelandic geothermal power station, introducing an upcycled ingredient into the cleansing formula.

The powder format keeps the product concentrated until water is added at the point of use. ChitoCare Beauty also identifies a reduced need for preservatives and lower product weight as benefits of the waterless formulation, with the latter intended to reduce the load associated with transporting a conventional liquid cleanser.

Bringing cleansing and exfoliation into a single step, the launch is aimed at those seeking a daily approach to improving texture and radiance without the abrasive feel of a physical scrub.
