K18 Brings Hair Longevity and Complimentary Scalp Analysis to Harrods
The biotechnology-led haircare brand is taking its FutureIQ experience to the luxury department store for a two-week pop-up centred on scalp diagnostics and preventative haircare. K18 will open a dedicated FutureIQ Hair Longevity pop-up at Harrods from 16 to 28 September, pairing product discovery with complimentary scalp analysis consultations in The Library on the department store’s ground floor.
Following its recent FutureIQ activation with Space NK at Battersea Power Station, the Harrods residency places K18’s newest launch within a more personalised, consultation-led setting. Visitors will be able to receive a free scalp analysis, learn more about their individual scalp and hair needs and test the FutureIQ Biomimetic Hair Longevity Serum.
The experience arrives as the conversation around hair health moves beyond repairing visible damage. Increased shedding, premature greying and changes in scalp condition have traditionally been approached as separate concerns, yet K18 argues that they can share common biological influences, including oxidative stress and inflammation caused by factors such as UV exposure, pollution, hormonal changes, heat styling and chemical services.
FutureIQ, which launched in August, is K18’s first move into the hair longevity category and its most significant introduction since the Molecular Repair Hair Mask. Designed as a lightweight nightly scalp treatment, the £110 serum uses the company’s proprietary MultiVital technology, combining biomimetic peptides, a root-anchoring complex and antioxidants.
The formula has been developed to support oxidative defence, follicle anchoring, the processes involved in pigmentation and the resilience of the scalp barrier. It is positioned as a cosmetic treatment for maintaining healthier-looking hair and scalp rather than a pharmaceutical product intended to address medical causes of hair loss or premature greying.
“Just as K18 molecular repair transformed how the world thinks about hair damage, FutureIQ longevity serum represents our vision for the future of hair aging. The opportunity is to act earlier, supporting the biology that drives these changes before they accelerate. That shift from correction to preservation is what hair longevity is about, and we believe it represents the next frontier of haircare,” said Suveen Sahib, co-founder and CEO of K18.
K18 reports that improvements may be seen after one month, with more substantial results measured following three months of nightly use. Clinical-testing figures supplied by the company include up to 19,000 hairs retained, fewer visible greys among up to 70 per cent of participants and an improved scalp barrier among all participants after 12 weeks.
By combining analysis, education and product trial, the Harrods activation reflects the increasingly diagnostic direction of premium haircare retail. As scalp health and long-term hair maintenance receive the kind of attention previously reserved for facial skincare, consultations are becoming an important part of helping consumers understand both the products and the concerns they are designed to address.
The K18 FutureIQ Hair Longevity pop-up will be open in The Library on the ground floor of Harrods from 16 to 28 September. Opening hours are 10am to 9pm from Monday to Saturday and midday to 6pm on Sundays.
