TwiqkTalk opens up the conversations forming the future of aesthetics with video series

Twiqk is exploring the clinical, psychological and social questions surrounding aesthetic medicine through TwiqkTalk, a video discussion series bringing together specialists from aesthetics, medicine, health and wellbeing. The series looks beyond individual treatments and techniques to consider the issues influencing patient care. Previous episodes have covered patient safety, psychology in aesthetics, women’s health, and longevity and healthy ageing.

Its discussions address the motivations and expectations behind treatment decisions, alongside the relationship between aesthetic medicine and wider health concerns. For practitioners, these subjects connect the technical aspects of treatment with a broader understanding of the people seeking it.

The opening longevity and healthy ageing discussion featured Dr Anoob Pakkar-Hull, Dr Paul Elgey and Rosanne Joseph-Anthony, with Anna Dobbie hosting. It explored skin health, prevention and the distinction between emerging evidence and the claims surrounding longevity.

Josh Sim, founder of Twiqk, said: “There are important conversations taking place within aesthetics that go far beyond a particular treatment or technique. TwiqkTalk gives us the opportunity to explore those subjects properly with people who have genuine expertise and experience.

“We want the series to encourage thoughtful discussion around the issues concerning both clinicians and patients, whether that is patient safety, psychology, women’s health or our changing understanding of healthy ageing.

“Ultimately, it is about creating a platform where experts can exchange ideas, challenge thinking and contribute to the sustained development of a responsible, educated and patient-focused aesthetics sector.”

The series is intended for practitioners and others working across aesthetic medicine, offering access to discussions between specialists with different professional perspectives. TwiqkTalk episodes are available on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLMhLBZRHGDbQ.
