Benefit Benetint Pocket Pal dual-ended lip tint and glaze
Benefit Cosmetics has launched Benetint Pocket Pal, a dual-ended lip product pairing the brand's Benetint stain with a clear hydrating gloss. One end holds the tint and the other a clear glaze, so the wearer can apply colour and shine in a single, pocket-sized tool. It is a revival of a discontinued format built around Benetint, one of the brand's longest-running products, and comes in three shades.
The product is a two-in-one lip duo designed for quick, on-the-go application. The tint end delivers a natural-looking, buildable stain through a soft doe-foot applicator, which the brand describes as longwearing and comfortable with up to eight hours of hydrating, nourishing wear, based on an instrumental test on 30 participants. The glaze end is a clear gloss formulated for shine and moisture retention, containing squalane to help prevent moisture loss and a combination of plant-based oil and resin oil to build shine.
In use, the tint is applied first and the clear gloss layered over the top for a glazed finish, or either end can be worn alone. Benetint Pocket Pal comes in three shades: Original Rose, Dark Cherry and Raspberry.
Benefit Cosmetics was founded in 1976 by twin sisters Jean and Jane Ford, who opened a small San Francisco boutique called The Face Place. Benetint, a rose-tinted lip and cheek stain, was the first product they sold and it remains one of the brand's signature items nearly five decades on. The Face Place was renamed Benefit Cosmetics in 1990 and the brand was acquired by LVMH in 1999. Benetint Pocket Pal reprises an earlier dual-ended format for the tint, positioning it within the glossy, glazed-lip trend that has brought stains and sheer glosses back to prominence.
Benetint Pocket Pal is priced at £25 and available from 1 July 2026 exclusively at Sephora.
