Dermatica Daily Firming Multi-Peptide Serum

Dermatica has launched the Daily Firming Multi-Peptide Serum, a lightweight, hydration-focused firming serum from the online dermatology brand's over-the-counter range, developed with its dermatologists. The serum targets firmness, fine lines and the early signs of ageing while aiming to support rather than compromise the skin barrier, and is formulated to suit sensitive skin.

The multi-peptide complex includes Matrixyl 3000 and Matrixyl Synthe'6, which helps counter the visible effects of collagen loss and smooth the appearance of fine lines. Ectoin and Natural Moisturising Factors are included to reinforce the barrier and reduce moisture loss. The formula also contains plant exosomes which act as cellular messengers to signal surface skin renewal.

The serum is suitable even for reactive and post-procedure skin, in contrast to some firming products that can cause irritation. It is fragrance-free, suitable for all skin types, and formulated to layer with other products, including prescription-strength actives.

Dr Shendy Engelina, a consultant dermatologist and clinical lead at Dermatica, recommended it as a morning step. "Formulated with peptides, hydrating ingredients and plant exosomes, this serum helps support skin firmness, hydration and overall skin quality," she said. "I recommend applying it after cleansing and before moisturiser every morning, followed by broad-spectrum sunscreen as part of a consistent skincare routine."

Dermatica was founded in 2018 by Dwayne D'Souza and is an online dermatology brand best known for personalised prescription skincare, alongside a range of over-the-counter essentials. It is owned by the healthcare technology company HeliosX.
