Spa Sector Urged to Share Tariff Impact in New Global Survey

Spa operators and suppliers are being called on to help quantify the real-world consequences of US tariff policies, as Intelligent Spas launches a new survey examining how the sector is being affected by increased import duties under former President Donald Trump’s trade agenda.

The spa and wellness industry has remained largely overlooked in most tariff analyses, despite rising costs of imported equipment, skincare products, and consumables that many professionals rely on daily. Now, with international supply chains under pressure and consumer behaviour shifting towards DIY treatments, there’s growing urgency to understand how businesses are coping and what’s at stake.

The survey asks:

  • How tariffs have affected business and to what extent

  • What strategies have been implemented to mitigate their impact

  • What changes businesses have made to financial forecasts and employee numbers as a result

The global survey is open to spa businesses of all sizes and can be completed online at this link. The deadline to take part is 28 May 2025. The results aim to support advocacy efforts and provide the sector with data to inform pricing, procurement, and strategic planning in a volatile trade environment.

As tariffs continue to disrupt costs across wellness and beauty services, this initiative offers spa professionals a rare opportunity to shape the conversation with real numbers.
