Corinthia London Relaunches Former ESPA Life Spa as Biome
The 3,300-square-metre Whitehall spa has ended its 15-year ESPA partnership and reopened as Biome, with Wildsmith, Augustinus Bader and AMP signed as the three founding brand partners.
Corinthia London has relaunched its flagship spa under a new identity, Biome by Corinthia London, ending the property's 15-year run as ESPA Life at Corinthia.
The spa, which originally opened with ESPA in 2011, is one of the largest urban hotel spas in London at 3,300 square metres across four floors, with 17 private treatment pods. Under the new identity, Corinthia is positioning it around a brand philosophy it calls Primal Luxury, framed as a meeting point between natural ritual and clinical science.
The thermal floor and core facilities remain in place, including the swimming pool, vitality pool, amphitheatre sauna, steam room, experience showers, heated marble loungers, sleep pods and ice fountain.
At launch, Biome operates with three brand partners. Wildsmith leads the nature and ritual side of the menu, with botanical formulations, rhythmic massage and body and facial treatments grounded in biodynamic principles. Augustinus Bader anchors the clinical skincare offer, with treatments built around Professor Bader's TFC8 technology and pitched at long-term skin health rather than aesthetics alone. AMP delivers the fitness, recovery and longevity side of the operation, running small-group personal training, conditioning classes and strength and mobility coaching, with a gym fitted with Technogym, BLK BOX and Peloton equipment.
A hair salon and nail studio also operate inside the spa, alongside a guest lounge serving light food and Laurent-Perrier Champagne during the day.
Charlotte Weatherall, general manager of Corinthia London, said the change reflected a more intentional positioning rather than a break with the past. "Biome marks an important evolution for us. Our spa has long been a destination in its own right, beloved by Londoners, members, and guests from around the world," she said. "It remains the sanctuary people know, now deeper, more intuitive, and more transformative than ever."
Aysun Mut, director of spa at Corinthia London, said the three-partner model was deliberately built to expand. "Biome is designed as a dynamic ecosystem. Over time, new partners, practitioners, and wellbeing pillars will join us, each adding depth and dimension to the experience," she said. Future phases will introduce additional programming across movement, recovery, longevity, nutrition and holistic lifestyle support.
Biome is open to hotel guests, members and day spa visitors. Membership is offered in three tiers, with three-month access at £2,500, six-month access at £4,000 and twelve-month access at £7,500, also available in US dollars and euros.
