Healthxchange Celebrates 25th Anniversary

Healthxchange, the number one aesthetics distributor in the UK & Ireland, is celebrating 25 years of shaping the future of aesthetic healthcare. Founded in 2000 by clinicians for clinicians, the company has supported thousands of medical professionals with safe, evidence-based products, CPD-accredited education, and a steadfast commitment to ethical practice.

Founded by Dr. John Curran in Guernsey, Healthxchange began as a pharmacy service and has since grown into a multi award-winning distributor of premium medical aesthetics products. What started as a small, clinician-led initiative has since grown into a multi award-winning distributor of premium aesthetics products. Today, the company offers a comprehensive portfolio spanning injectables, skincare, devices, and consumables, and is the trusted distribution partner for some of the world’s leading names in aesthetics, including Allergan, Galderma, Obagi Medical, Medik8, and Observ.

Jack Curran, Chief Executive Officer of Healthxchange says “Celebrating 25 years is more than marking time - it’s a testament to the trust we’ve built, the relationships we’ve nurtured, and the results we’ve helped deliver. While much has evolved in the industry, our purpose remains unchanged - to enhance lives through excellence in aesthetics.”

That purpose has been evident across every stage of Healthxchange’s growth. From opening its first UK pharmacy near Harley Street in 2005, to becoming the exclusive supplier of Obagi Medical in the UK and Ireland in 2006, the company has continually raised the bar in service and standards.

In 2010, Healthxchange founded the Healthxchange Academy, which has since become one of the industry’s most respected training providers. Through a blend of in-person courses, expert-led webinars, live events, and on-demand learning, the Academy has equipped thousands of practitioners with advanced clinical knowledge while embedding a culture of compliance, ethics, and patient safeguarding. For Healthxchange, safe practice is only the starting point - its mission is to help clinicians go further, combining technical expertise with commercial confidence and responsible care.

Innovation has also been central to the company’s journey. In 2015, Healthxchange introduced its pioneering e-pharmacy service, expanding access for medical professionals nationwide. In 2019, it launched Clever Clinic, a digital consultation and patient management app designed to streamline clinical workflows while supporting transparency and compliance. And in 2024, Healthxchange was recognised as Distributor of the Year for the third consecutive year at the prestigious Aesthetics Awards.

As it celebrates its 25th anniversary, Healthxchange remains guided by the values on which it was built: progression, quality, service, and integrity. With these principles at its core, the company continues to define best practice in aesthetic healthcare - empowering clinicians not just with products, but with the knowledge and ethical frameworks that will shape a safer, more trusted, and more sustainable future for the industry.
