Diarrha N’Diaye to lead Skims Beauty as Executive Vice President
Skims has appointed Diarrha N’Diaye, founder of Ami Colé, as Executive Vice President of Beauty and Fragrance, signalling a full entry into colour, skincare and scent under the Skims Beauty banner. The move follows consolidation of Kim Kardashian’s previous beauty ventures into Skims earlier this year and positions N’Diaye to steer product development, innovation and brand strategy ahead of launch.
N’Diaye is best known for building Ami Colé, the New York brand celebrated for formulas designed for melanin-rich skin, which closed in mid-2025 amid cost pressures. Before founding Ami Colé in 2021 she held roles at L’Oréal Paris and Glossier, giving her a mix of corporate and start-up experience that Skims will draw on as it defines its first beauty range.
Setting out her brief, N’Diaye told The Cut: “I have sat on salon floors, worked eight-hour shifts at beauty retailers, started a company, and am now taking an executive seat at a beauty brand promising to bring a fresh approach to beauty… I’m happy to bring this vault of knowledge to Kim’s beauty closet to work on a new wave of inclusive beauty for all.” She added that her job is to “figure out how we create this second-skin experience for the customer and bridge the gap from clothing to makeup, hair, and fragrance.”
Kardashian framed the hire as foundational to representation in the new division, saying: “I want Skims Beauty to be a place where everyone feels represented, and there was no better person to help us do that than Diarrha.” In a separate interview, N’Diaye said consumers “want quality, they want delight, they want something that makes their lives easier,” adding, “I can’t wait to collaborate with the Skims team on items we hope will become essentials in their regimen.”
N’Diaye has also described the appointment as an extension of her long-standing mission. “My goal is always to continue to push the global conversation about inclusive beauty,” she told Essence. “With Skims… we will create memorable beauty experiences for everybody.” Taken together, the remit and the rhetoric point to a launch that leans into inclusive range building, everyday textures and a “second-skin” sensibility that mirrors Skims’ apparel.
