VIVAMAYR Medical Health Resort Maria Wörth Appoints New Medical Director

The VIVAMAYR Medical Health Resort in Maria Wörth has announced the appointment of Dr. Sepp Bodo Fegerl as its new Medical Director, effective March 2026. Dr. Fegerl, a renowned expert in Modern Mayr Medicine, will bring his extensive experience and expertise to strategically and medically advance the internationally recognized VIVAMAYR concept.

Dr. Fegerl is a well-known figure in the world of Mayr Medicine and has previously played a key role in VIVAMAYR’s success. From 2014 to 2018, he was responsible for the development and both medical and operational management of the former VIVAMAYR Resort Altaussee as Managing Director and Medical Director. Under his leadership, the center gained international recognition and received multiple awards. Between 2018 and 2021, he also served as Deputy Medical Director in Altaussee. Most recently, Dr. Fegerl worked as Deputy Medical Director at Buff Medical Resort in Konstanz, a German clinic specializing in holistic digestive and movement health, cardiology, and neurology. His broad medical training, which he completed in 2008 with a Doctorate in Human Medicine from the University of Graz, along with his specialist training in general medicine with focuses in oncology, gynecology, neurosurgery, and pediatrics, forms the foundation of his holistic approach.

Since 2020, Dr. Fegerl has also been a board member of the International Society of Mayr Physicians and is actively involved in the training and continuing education of colleagues in both German and English. His expertise encompasses a wide range of complementary diagnostic and therapeutic methods, including integrative spa medicine, functional myodiagnostics, orthomolecular medicine, microimmunotherapy, homotoxicology, homeopathy, and neural therapy.

With his return to VIVAMAYR in Maria Wörth, Dr. Fegerl comes full circle. He will leverage his passion for Modern Mayr Medicine and his vision for preventive and holistic healthcare to elevate the VIVAMAYR concept to a new level. His focus will be on providing guests with sustainable, long-term health solutions based on the pillars of healthy nutrition, exercise, and mental balance.
