Dermalux Announces Suki Mahal as Business Development Manager

Dermalux, the global leader in LED phototherapy, has brought Suki Mahal into its UK fold as Business Development Manager. Her appointment comes at a time of strong growth for the company as more clinics turn to the award-winning Tri-Wave MD to deliver safe, results-driven skin treatments.

Suki’s career path into aesthetics has been anything but conventional. She originally trained in nursing, driven by a lifelong interest in medical science and patient care, before qualifying in beauty therapy. She also gained experience in medical device sales and worked as a police constable, which she says taught her how to adapt her communication to suit different people and situations. “My early career choices taught me how to listen, adapt my approach, and focus on the needs of the person in front of me,” she says. “Those skills have been essential in sales and business development.”

Her combination of clinical knowledge, beauty expertise and commercial acumen naturally drew her into the aesthetics sector. “Having followed the Dermalux brand for years, I am thrilled to now be part of its growth rather than just watching from the sidelines,” she says.

Over the past decade, Suki has worked with leading energy-based devices in the medical and aesthetic sectors, introducing new technologies into clinics, delivering training, and advising practitioners on integrating devices into treatment plans. In many roles, Dermalux was already on her radar.

“When I was selling other systems, I would recommend Dermalux to enhance results. Combination treatments are now such a focus in the sector, and the Tri-Wave MD is a perfect fit for that approach.”

A focus on education and growth

In her first months, Suki will concentrate on expanding her knowledge of Dermalux devices, reconnecting with her network, and meeting as many clinics as possible.

“Practitioners need to understand how quickly it can achieve results, how versatile it is, and how little discomfort it involves,” she says. “It is not just an add-on. In many cases it should be a core part of treatment plans.”

She sees growth ahead in the medical sector, with more doctors and nurses incorporating Dermalux devices into their practices.

“The evidence is building rapidly, and both practitioners and patients are looking for solutions that deliver results without downtime,” she explains.

For Suki, the most rewarding part of the role will be seeing the difference Dermalux makes to both clinic businesses and their patients. “That’s the ideal outcome – success for both sides.”

Jo O’Connor, Head of Sales for Dermalux UK and Ireland, says Suki’s appointment reflects the company’s commitment to pairing award-winning technology with knowledgeable support for clinics.

“Suki brings a rare combination of clinical understanding, sales expertise and genuine passion for LED technology,” she says.
