SkinHealth Systems SkinStylus SteriLock MicroSystem
SkinHealth Systems, the company behind Hydrafacial, has launched the SkinStylus SteriLock MicroSystem in the UK, combining microneedling and nano-needling in a single device for professional cosmetic use.
Unveiled at a London event on 30 September, the launch marks the system’s first introduction outside the US. It forms part of a wider European rollout covering the UK, Ireland, Germany, France, Spain and Portugal, drawing on Hydrafacial’s established provider network.
For existing Hydrafacial practices, SkinStylus adds standalone microneedling and nano-needling treatments alongside approved combination protocols, supported by dedicated Hydrafacial CONNECT training and ongoing education. The new Hydrafacial and SkinStylus Nano protocol combines nano-needling with Hydrafacial’s signature cleanse, extract and hydrate steps.
The device uses three interchangeable, single-use cartridges: a 12-pin option for focused treatment areas, a 36-pin option for broader coverage and a 57-pin Nano cartridge that works at the epidermis without penetrating the dermis. Microneedling improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and promotes more even-looking tone and texture, while nano-needling facilitates topical product absorption and enhances skin quality and visible glow.
“SkinStylus has been designed with the modern aesthetic practice in mind, combining versatility, treatment depth and commercial value in one platform. With three treatment modes available on a single device, practitioners can expand their treatment offering, address a broader range of patient concerns and cater to different price points – all without the need to invest in multiple devices. Ultimately, SkinStylus gives practices the flexibility to do more, while making their investment work harder for their business,” comments Tanja Wirtz, Senior Vice President, International at SkinHealth Systems.
SkinStylus operates in corded and cordless modes, with adjustable depth and speed settings. Its gamma-sterilised SteriLock cartridges incorporate a seven-point safety system, including a flexible seal, foam barrier and safety cap, designed to help reduce fluid ingress and cross-contamination. The removable nosecone can be autoclaved or disinfected between treatments in accordance with the instructions for use.
