Wella Professionals Ultimate Color Blonde

Wella Professionals is launching Ultimate Color Blonde, a shampoo and conditioner for blonde and highlighted hair that combines brass-neutralising toning with conditioning care. The two products extend the brand's Ultimate Color range and are aimed at keeping blonde tone cool and colour fresh between salon visits.

The shampoo, Ultimate Color Blonde Onyx Shampoo, tones, conditions and purifies in a single step. It uses activated charcoal to absorb impurities from the hair and scalp, and a patented combination of glycine and pro-vitamin B5 to support the hair fibre and replenish moisture. It also carries a Metal Purifier, the ingredient technology used across the Ultimate Color range, which helps reduce the metal build-up that can dull colour and distort tone, for clearer, cleaner blonde results.

The matching conditioner enhances cool tones while adding smoothness and strength and delivers up to 90 per cent less breakage, a figure the brand measures against a non-conditioning shampoo rather than a rival conditioner.

Together the two products form what Wella calls its Advanced Color Care System, combining neutralising pigments, glycine and the Metal Purifier to counteract yellow and warm tones, protect the hair fibre, maintain vibrancy and add moisture from the first wash. The brand positions the range as an answer to traditional violet shampoos, which neutralise brass effectively but can leave hair dry or over-toned, offering toning with conditioning built in.

Ultimate Color Blonde joins Wella's wider Ultimate Color line-up of colour-care products.

The Ultimate Color Blonde Onyx Shampoo is priced at £25 for 250ml and the conditioner at £30 for 200ml. Both are available from 1 September 2026.
