ghd has introduced ghd speed, a new ultra-fast hair dryer engineered to deliver salon-level blow-dries with a focus on controlled airflow, comfort at the scalp, and a cool-touch exterior even during extended use. The dryer centres on ghd halo dual-airflow technology, surrounding heated airflow with a halo ring of cool air to keep drying powerful while lowering scalp temperature and maintaining a cool outer casing for easier manoeuvrability close to the root.
Designed for professionals and performance-minded consumers, ghd speed is powered by a next-generation digital motor that is 91% smaller and spins at 118,000 rpm, producing high-pressure hot and cool airflow within an ultra-ergonomic format. The platform supports faster, more precise drying, while also targeting finish quality with a claim of 54% less frizz versus naturally dried frizzy hair. Thermal protection is positioned as a core credential, with no thermal damage detected after three passes drying with an oval brush and the professional halo styling attachment on maximum heat and fan settings, benchmarked against naturally dried hair.

ghd speed is set up for repeatable results across hair types and styling preferences, with four heat settings and four speed settings, plus a memory mode that recalls the last-used configuration. A LED display and lock button support fast checks and prevent accidental changes mid-style. The tool’s balanced weight distribution is designed to reduce fatigue, and the cool-to-touch barrel enables alternative grips for improved control when directing airflow and tension.
Styling is attachment-led, with five magnetic, cool-touch accessories positioned for versatility. The halo styling concentrator nozzle is included, while additional options are offered separately, including a halo wide smoothing concentrator, pro precision styling concentrator, pro curl diffuser and a pro high strength comb.
