Curlsmith has introduced Curl Reset Detox Shampoo, a one-step detox cleanser created for curls and textured hair that need a reset without the dry, stripped feel often associated with clarifying washes. The formula targets product build-up, dullness and scalp discomfort, with a specific focus on mineral and metal residue that can be stubborn in hard water areas.

The shampoo uses micelle-forming surfactants to lift and sweep away build-up, supported by apple cider vinegar, ginger root and peppermint oil to refresh the scalp. A gentle chelating agent binds to mineral and metal ions so they rinse away cleanly, addressing common culprits such as copper and calcium that can weigh curls down and blunt definition.

In third-party testing, the formula removed eight minerals, including copper and calcium, leaving curls looking lighter and more revived. Conditioning agents are built in to maintain slip and softness, so hair does not feel squeaky post-wash and curls can rebound after one cleanse.
