Ellis Brooklyn Queens Caramel
Ellis Brooklyn has added a new scent to its line-up with Queens Caramel, a plush gourmand that leans into pleasure without feeling heavy. The brief is decadence with finesse. Think the indulgence of a dessert trolley translated into a wearable, daytime-to-evening perfume - a royal treat, a playful nod to New York swagger with a soft finish on skin.
On skin, Queens Caramel opens with caramel wrapped in maple sugar, wild honey and a sprinkle of pink salt, immediately signalling its sweet-salt contrast. The heart folds in whipped coconut, white chocolate, jasmine and vanilla orchid for creaminess with a floral lift. It settles into vanilla bourbon, amber woods, tonka and milky musks that linger with a warm, cashmere feel. The composition reads like a study in textures: glossy, aerated and cushioned rather than syrupy.
The bottle arrives in two sizes, a 50 ml eau de parfum and a 10 ml travel spray. As with the wider collection, the formula is vegan and cruelty free, and slots under the house’s gourmand family. Behind the scenes, Queens Caramel is credited to perfumer Gabriela Chelariu, whose work often balances comfort with clarity.
The caramel-white chocolate axis gives immediate projection, while pink salt and milky musks keep the sweetness buoyant and skin like. If you loved the creamy warmth of vanilla driven scents but wanted a more extrovert top, this sits squarely in that pocket. It is easy to picture it with a polished knit in the day, then a slip dress after dark, which speaks to Ellis Brooklyn’s city chic aesthetic and the label’s recent cadence of crowd-pleasing launches.
