BYOMA Longevit-8 Peptide Serum
BYOMA has expanded its barrier-first skincare portfolio with Longevit-8 Peptide Serum, its most advanced formula to date and the brand’s first product developed specifically around skin longevity.
The lightweight serum is designed to move skincare beyond correcting existing concerns, focusing instead on protecting the skin and supporting its ability to renew and repair itself. It targets eight visible signs of ageing, including wrinkles, loss of firmness and elasticity, dehydration, redness, dullness, uneven texture and a weakened skin barrier.
At the centre of the formula is BYOMA’s new GHK-Cu Longevity Matrix, combining copper tripeptide with niacinamide and vitamin E. The complex is supported by vegan Phyto-PDRN and NMN, alongside the brand’s Tri-Ceramide Complex of ceramide NP, cholesterol and fatty acids. The serum also contains Argireline and Matrixyl 3000 peptides to support collagen and elastin and help soften the appearance of expression lines, wrinkles and lost volume.
During clinical testing, the serum instantly increased hydration by up to 123% and luminosity by up to 39%. It also reduced visible wrinkle depth by up to 85%, improved firmness by up to 25% after two weeks and increased elasticity by up to 26% after one month. A strengthened skin barrier was recorded in 96% of participants.
BYOMA tested nine combinations of longevity-focused molecules before selecting the final GHK-Cu Longevity Matrix. In-vitro testing found that the chosen formula increased natural collagen production by 225% and delivered 1.76 times greater collagen-boosting efficacy than retinal.
The brand also commissioned a 12-week, placebo-controlled study into mitochondrial health in partnership with Professor of Molecular Dermatology Mark Birch-Machin. According to the findings, Longevit-8 Peptide Serum protected mitochondrial DNA in skin under the age of 40 and reduced existing mitochondrial DNA damage in skin over 40. BYOMA said the research is currently being submitted for peer review.
