Sacha Mascolo-Tarbuck Takes Majority Control of TONI&GUY Global Group
Sacha Mascolo-Tarbuck has taken majority ownership and full voting control of TONI&GUY Global Group at both board and shareholder level, the company announced yesterday.
In a parallel move, professional haircare brand LABEL.M, which Mascolo-Tarbuck co-founded with her father Toni Mascolo, is now wholly owned and fully controlled by Mascolo-Tarbuck. The two changes together create a unified leadership structure across the salon group and its sister product business.
The restructure marks one of the most significant changes at the top of the TONI&GUY business since it was founded in 1963 in Clapham, London, by brothers Toni and Guy Mascolo, later joined by Anthony and Bruno Mascolo. The group now operates 680 salons across 40 international markets and has been the Official Partner of London Fashion Week for 19 consecutive years.
Mascolo-Tarbuck, who has worked across the business for more than 35 years, said the move was both personal and strategic. "This is both a deeply personal and incredibly exciting moment," she said. "We are honouring everything that has made TONI&GUY what it is today, while setting a clear course for the future."
She added that the new structure was designed to deliver a more connected and digitally integrated business. "With over 35 years' experience across every part of the business, I feel both a deep responsibility and a great privilege in leading its future. As majority shareholder of TONI&GUY Global Group and owner of LABEL.M, I have a clear vision: to build on our heritage while evolving into a more connected, innovative and digitally integrated global business. This isn't simply the next chapter, it's the new book.”
The group has set out a strategic vision built around growing the professional hair space, investment in education, salon elevation and digital integration. Specific strategic initiatives and investment priorities have not yet been disclosed, with the group saying further announcements will follow in the coming months.
For UK hair professionals, the announcement is one of the biggest leadership stories in the salon sector this year. TONI&GUY remains one of the most recognised UK-founded hair brands internationally, with the franchise model pioneered under Toni Mascolo turning a single Clapham salon into a global network of salons and academies. Its art team has produced trend-setting collections shown at London Fashion Week, and stylist Cos Sakkas won the British Hairdresser of the Year title three years running between 2022 and 2024.
The unified ownership structure consolidates decision-making at a point when many heritage hair brands are repositioning around digital, education and longevity in stylist careers. Mascolo-Tarbuck has framed this as the platform for that next phase, but the operational specifics, including any changes to franchise structures, leadership team or capital investment, remain to be confirmed.
