LANEIGE Debuts at John Lewis

K-beauty heavyweight Laneige is expanding its UK footprint through a landmark retail partnership with John Lewis & Partners, marking a significant moment in the mainstream adoption of Korean skincare across British beauty halls. The brand’s arrival in select flagship John Lewis stores from 14 July, as well as online, signals both increased demand and consumer appetite for advanced hydration-focused skincare rooted in South Korean R&D.

Laneige, owned by Amorepacific, has long been at the forefront of the K-beauty movement. Since its founding in 1994, the brand has built its reputation around cutting-edge water science, with formulations designed to strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier and enhance hydration retention. Its cult-favourite Water Sleeping Mask and Lip Sleeping Mask have earned global recognition, while its product development continues to push the boundaries of skin barrier care and moisture technology.

Dennis Yang, General Manager at Amorepacific UK, emphasised the synergy between the two companies: “We are very excited about securing wider accessibility to shoppers through our partnership with John Lewis. John Lewis has worked hard for a long time to provide value in the retail industry for customers in the UK, sharing many values with LANEIGE. Through this partnership we are thrilled to introduce LANEIGE’s excellent products to more customers”.

This strategic rollout includes in-store presence at six John Lewis locations — Oxford Street, Peter Jones, Cheadle, High Wycombe, Cardiff and Cambridge — supported by a curated product selection aimed at both new and loyal customers.

Among the new highlights is the Hydro UV Defense SPF 50, an advanced broad-spectrum sunscreen that protects while hydrating with hydro-ionised mineral water and soothing centella asiatica. For barrier support and on-the-go refreshment, the Cream Skin Cerapeptide Mist combines squalane, tea extract and ceramide peptides in a makeup-friendly format.

The brand’s hero launches also include the Bouncy & Firm Sleeping Mask, formulated with low molecular collagen and peony extract to visibly improve skin plumpness and elasticity, and the Glaze Craze Tinted Lip Serum, which fuses colour with treatment for a glossy, moisturising finish.

As British consumers become increasingly ingredient-savvy and barrier-conscious, Laneige’s clinically inspired yet sensorial approach offers a timely addition to the UK’s prestige skincare shelves.
