ChitoCare Marine Super Hydration Mask
ChitoCare Beauty has added a new treatment step to its Icelandic line up with the Marine Super Hydration Mask, a biodegradable sheet mask that quite literally melts away after use. Created as a concentrated “ocean facial” for dehydrated, stressed or post-sun skin, the mask combines marine chitosan, geothermal silica and marine collagen peptides with a sophisticated hyaluronic acid complex to flood the skin with long lasting moisture and support barrier repair.
The formula continues the brand’s signature use of ChitoCare Repair, a patented complex powered by Icelandic marine chitosan. This naturally derived biopolymer forms a breathable film on the skin that binds water, boosts antioxidant protection and helps delay the appearance of fine lines and textural roughness. Here it is joined by geothermal silica sourced from Iceland’s hot springs to reinforce the skin’s natural defence and improve smoothness, and marine collagen peptides to enhance suppleness and bounce. The serum is rich in multiple forms of hyaluronic acid, from crosspolymer to hydrolysed weights, plus glycosaminoglycans, cactus stem extract and konjac root to pull and hold water in different layers of the epidermis for a plump, dewy finish.
The mask material is fully biodegradable and dissolves naturally in warm water, which means there is no plastic sheet to throw away, only a face coated in leftover serum to massage in. It is a neat expression of the brand’s circular story, where shell waste from the North Atlantic becomes chitosan, and that in turn underpins a clinically focused, low impact skincare line.
Marine Super Hydration Mask is positioned as a weekly or “whenever needed” treatment that strengthens the moisture barrier, protects against premature signs of ageing and replenishes with deep, long lasting hydration. The brand highlights its suitability for all skin types, including dry, sensitive and condition-prone skin, and notes that it is especially effective after sun exposure when complexions feel tight and overheated.
