Cerruti 1881 VIVO
Cerruti 1881 is stepping back into the spotlight with VIVO, its first major fragrance launch in over 30 years — and it’s aiming squarely at a new generation. Known for rewriting the rules of tailoring and gender fluid fashion, the brand is now rewriting its own olfactory legacy with a scent that’s as bold in concept as it is in composition.
VIVO, which means alive is a declaration of connection, movement, and modern masculinity. Presented in a striking steel blue and orange bottle, the design is sculptural and sharp-edged, a direct nod to Cerruti’s fusion of Italian vitality and Parisian precision. To access the fragrance, the wearer must unlock a secret vertical code: V1881, getting involved with “breaking the code” along with the brand.
Expect an immediate hit of zesty ginger, juicy apple, and cardamom, followed by a warming heart of rum, sesame, and tagete flower. At the base, vetiver and saffron ground the scent in creamy, sensual depth. This amber fougère is punchy but refined, crafted by two powerhouses of perfumery: Honorine Blanc and Ilias Ermenidis of dsm-firmenich.
The fragrance is available at The Perfume Shop.
Pigmentation rarely has a single cause, which makes treating it with a single ingredient something of a hopeful exercise. HydroPeptide is taking a broader approach with Syner-C+ Multi-Action Brightening Serum, a new daily treatment designed to address discolouration at several points in the pigment-forming process. The serum expands the professional skincare brand’s Brighten Collection and combines a 20 per cent concentration of the stable vitamin C derivative 3-O Ethyl Ascorbic Acid with tranexamic acid, arbutin, niacinamide and HydroPeptide’s patented Micellar CellRenew-16 peptide technology.
