The UK’s First Magnesium-Enriched Outdoor Spa Pool Opens at Manor House Alsager
True to its reputation for being among the first to bring landmark wellness experiences to the UK, in June 2026, Manor House, Alsager in Cheshire, launches The Courtyard, a new outdoor spa space centred around what is believed to be the UK's first outdoor magnesium-enriched spa pool, complemented by its statement, luxurious swinging day beds.
The Courtyard sits at the heart of the Manor House’s guest experience, an outdoor enclosed sanctuary where the outside world feels both present and far away. It offers fresh air, warmth and peace, and feels like a destination within a destination where the only agenda is to slow down and relax.
The centrepiece of The Courtyard is the UK's first outdoor Magnesium Enriched Pool. The pool is enriched with magnesium, a mineral long associated with muscle recovery, stress relief and restorative sleep. The water is soft and silky against the skin, and gentler on the eyes.
Alongside the pool, The Courtyard’s swinging day beds are a statement in their own right; each fitted with overhead patio heaters, making them as usable on a grey November afternoon as a warm June evening.
Together, the pool and the beds make The Courtyard a year-round spa experience. Guests can move between the two, warming up, cooling down, or simply doing nothing at all. It's a sanctuary shaped by the understanding that nature, fresh air and time spent truly outside are not luxuries, they are essentials – especially when it’s warm and cosy!
The Courtyard is the latest in a series of significant investments in the Manor House spa experience. In April 2025, the much-loved spa garden was expanded with the addition of the Secret Garden, a 36 square metre multi-experience oasis thoughtfully designed to blend relaxation with restoration.
