Skin + Me Partners with Smart Works
Skin + Me has named Smart Works as its exclusive Invite A Friend charity partner for 2026, linking customer referrals to donations that will support the UK charity’s interview coaching and workwear provision for women seeking employment.
Smart Works supports unemployed women through interview clothing, personalised styling advice and one to one interview coaching, and the charity states it empowers all women, including transgender women and non-binary people whose gender expression aligns with its service, to face interviews with confidence and self belief.
Smart Works CEO Anna Hemmings said, “We are seeing through our work that the job market is worsening, and women are disproportionately affected by this. Women are applying for a greater number of jobs without success and are spending longer than ever on applications. This can erode confidence, which in turn impacts on interview performance. Our services provide critical support to women in this position, and our results show that in the face of these challenges, 67% of the women we support are now getting the job within a month. It’s a clear indication that our model works — and a powerful reminder of what happens when women are given the right support at the right time.”
Skin + Me positioned the partnership around a shared focus on confidence, aligning Smart Works’ “clothing and coaching” with Skin + Me’s “confidence-building skincare routines”. Stephanie Forrester, Head of Brand at Skin + Me, said, “Confidence isn’t something you buy, it’s something you build. Smart Works helps women find theirs. Skin + Me helps them see it.”
The initiative sits within Skin + Me’s Invite A Friend programme. When a friend signs up using an Invite A Friend code, they receive their first and fifth Daily Doser for £3.50, while the referrer earns credit when the friend receives their first box. Customers can either donate that credit directly to Smart Works or apply it to their next Skin + Me order, with preferences changeable at any time. Skin + Me says every completed referral generates a donation, with 100% of contributions going to Smart Works, and there is no limit to how many times the code can be shared.
Smart Works reports that it has supported over 45,000 women since launching in 2013, including 10,600 women last year, operating through 11 centres across the UK alongside a virtual service. The charity also states that 67% of clients secure a job within one month of their appointment and 94% report increased confidence after engaging with Smart Works.
