Mylee To Take Over Superdrug Beauty Studio With Free Manis for National Nail Day

Mylee, the at-home gel brand is taking over the Superdrug Beauty Studio at 49 to 50 Strand on 5 May, marking National Nail Day with a one-day pop-up offering free plain gel colour manicures to walk-in customers.

The activation runs from 11am to 4pm and is open on a first come, first served basis, with appointments allocated on arrival rather than booked in advance. Customers are asked to arrive with bare nails or regular polish only, and complimentary mocktails will be served in the studio. Free gifts will also be available for walk-ins who miss out on a slot.

The takeover places Mylee, which markets itself on at-home gel kits, inside one of Superdrug's flagship Beauty Studio sites for the day, putting the brand in front of central London foot traffic during a calendar moment the nail category builds activity around.

Karolina Swiderska, head of global brand at Mylee, said the activation was designed to remove the usual barriers to a salon manicure. "We wanted to mark National Nail Day in a way that feels genuinely fun and accessible to our community, and Superdrug shoppers. This takeover is all about giving people a moment to enjoy great nails without the usual barriers, whether that's time, cost or availability," she said.

Gayle Kynoch, senior operations and process manager for Beauty Studios at Superdrug, framed the day as a thank-you to regulars and a moment for the in-store nail therapists. "National Nail Day is a moment for us to celebrate the skill, creativity and confidence our nail therapists bring to customers every day. By surprising a handful of customers with a complimentary gel manicure, we're simply saying thank you for choosing Beauty Studio, and giving our teams a chance to spread a little joy through the treatments they love delivering," she said.
