Glow Recipe is giving lips the skincare treatment with Glass Balm, a tinted lip product that draws inspiration from bingsoo, the iconic Korean shaved ice dessert. Light, glossy and packed with moisture, it’s designed to leave your lips looking soft and juicy without feeling heavy or sticky.

Each of the four shades is a nod to a different fruit-topped bingsoo variation: Ice Bingsoo is a soft pink-clear, Watermelon Bingsoo gives a sheer pink-red flush, Strawberry Bingsoo leans berry, and Blackberry Bingsoo is a sheer plum. The colour is subtle, but the finish is all shine. Think mirror-slick lips with just a hint of tint.

Under the gloss is a solid skincare formula. Hyaluronic microspheres hydrate and help plump the lips, while glycerin and fruit extracts smooth, soften and shield against dryness. The balm promises up to 12 hours of moisture, and in a consumer study, almost everyone agreed it made their lips feel better after a week of use. It wears more like a treatment than a gloss, but looks like both.
