Take a Look Inside The Peninsula Spa and Wellness Centre

The Peninsula London, the newest addition to The Peninsula’s portfolio of singularly elegant worldwide properties, has opened its stunning Spa and Wellness Centre on 1st December 2023. Encompassing two floors of the hotel, the facility will offer unparalleled services and amenities to nourish guests’ bodies, minds, and spirits – including a magnificent indoor swimming pool, an extensive menu of revitalising and relaxing treatments administered by top-tier wellness experts, and exclusive partnerships with beauty brands Margy’s Monte Carlo and Subtle Energies.

Masterfully conceived by world-renowned architect and designer of interiors Peter Marino, The Peninsula Spa & Wellness Centre provides a haven of tranquillity and well-being. The facility’s showpiece, its 25-metre heated swimming pool, occupies a double-height subterranean chamber, whose walls are adorned with peaceful mosaic landscapes and whose overhead light panels change throughout the day to simulate natural daylight. Guests can swim here while accompanied by music piped through underwater speakers, or lounge and enjoy healthy snacks and teas from plush chaises or three semi-private cabanas.

The Spa also features seven restful, softly lit wood-panelled treatment rooms, where guests can enjoy heated robes; four thermal cabins; and a sleek fitness studio furnished with state-of-the-art Technogym equipment. A dedicated hair atelier is additionally on site, where famed Belgravia stylist Errol Douglas MBE takes appointments.

The Peninsula Spa & Wellness Centre will offer guests exclusive, first-in-the-UK partnerships with two of the world’s most highly coveted beauty brands: Margy’s Monte Carlo and Subtle Energies. Products and signature treatments from these brands will feature prominently on The Spa’s menu of relaxing and rejuvenating therapies. Among the offerings will be the 24 Karat Gold Mask and e-Finger Facial, which uses Margy’s exceptionally crafted (and celebrity-favoured) Swiss-made products along with micro-current technology to reveal youthfully plumped skin; and Blissful Marma Massage, by Subtle Energies incorporating medium to firm massage strokes, chakra-balancing, marma therapy and results based aromatic products founded on Ayurveda principals to promote holistic harmony.

The Peninsula London’s Spa & Wellness Centre is proud to collaborate with a select group of wellness providers who are leaders in their fields of physical, mental and emotional well-being. These therapists-in-residence will be available to guests by appointment for one- to two-hour sessions, to guide them in a variety of modalities ranging from acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine to osteopathy and personal fitness.

Practitioners working in partnership with The Spa and Fitness Centre include David Marshall, The Body Doctor, whose pioneering approach to health and fitness is driven by the commitment to improving quality of life; Susan Siklawi, whose thousands of hours of experience in craniosacral and lymphatic massage let her provide a deeply personalised healing experience; Dr. Li Ping Bartlett, who employs Traditional Chinese Medicine and targeted acupuncture to relieve issues like fatigue, anxiety and insomnia; and osteopath Emanuele Calabrese, whose therapeutic application of musculoskeletal massage effectively treats pain.

The Peninsula Hotels’ brand-wide well-being initiative, Life Lived Best, provides guests at all 12 Peninsula properties with unprecedented opportunities to pursue their fitness, mindfulness, and nutritional goals throughout their stay. At The Peninsula London, these include the offerings at the new Peninsula Spa and Wellness Centre – as well as the inclusion of Naturally Peninsula plant-based options at all hotel dining menus, and a dedicated Wellness Portal offering guests round-the-clock access to wellness programmes like guided strength-training and meditation in the comfort of their own rooms.

“We are enormously pleased to offer such an array of ground-breaking wellness options to our guests, as well as the Belgravia community,” said The Peninsula London’s Managing Director, Sonja Vodusek. “Service is at the heart of everything we do at The Peninsula – and a key part of that commitment is allowing the members of our ‘Peninsula family’ experience optimal well-being.”
