Kama Ayurveda launches new spa destination at Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere

Kama Ayurveda has expanded its UK spa presence with the launch of a new wellness destination at Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere. The launch brings Kama Ayurveda’s Ayurvedic spa rituals to the newly reopened Cheshire estate, which has entered a new chapter as Fairmont Hotels & Resorts’ fourth UK property.

Set within 157 acres of countryside and overlooking the waters of The Mere Lake, the spa has been designed as a restorative wellness space where luxury hospitality meets traditional Ayurvedic practice. The Kama Ayurveda Spa at Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere features six dedicated treatment rooms, each created as a sanctuary for deeply restorative face, body and hair rituals. The treatment menu is built around classical Ayurvedic massage techniques, marma point therapy and personalised consultation.

Each treatment begins with a consultation to identify the guest’s dosha, or mind-body constitution, allowing the experience to be tailored to individual needs. Treatments are designed to restore balance, release tension, stimulate circulation and support the body’s natural energy flow. The menu includes five signature Ayurvedic treatments, spanning facial, body, lymphatic, scalp and hair rituals. The Legendary Kama Glow Facial with Kumkumadi uses Kama Ayurveda’s Kumkumadi oil to support radiance, improve skin texture and reveal a healthy glow.

The Head & Hair Oil Massage, known as shiroabhyangav, is offered in Regenerating or Purifying versions with Bringaras oils. The ritual is designed to nourish the scalp and hair, relieve tension and support deep relaxation.

The Legendary Body Massage offers a made-to-measure full body treatment, combining therapeutic techniques, rhythmic movements and Ayurvedic expertise to deliver a restorative wellness experience. The Legendary Lymphatic Massage is designed to stimulate circulation, encourage lymphatic drainage and leave the body feeling lighter and revitalised.

Exclusive to Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere, the Kalari Massage is inspired by Kalaripayattu, the ancient martial art of Kerala in South India. The treatment originates from a traditional massage once reserved for warriors to enhance strength, flexibility and recovery. It combines deep tissue massage with classical marma therapy to release muscular tension, improve mobility and restore vitality.

Every Kama Ayurveda treatment is accompanied by personalised lifestyle and beauty recommendations, allowing guests to continue the benefits of their Ayurvedic journey beyond the spa. The launch also includes a permanent Kama Ayurveda boutique, creating a complete brand experience within the Fairmont property. The semi-personalised retail space features bespoke visual merchandising and a curated edit of 32 signature skincare and haircare products, designed to help guests integrate Ayurvedic rituals into their everyday routines. The boutique also offers exclusive sampling opportunities, seasonal gift-with-purchase experiences and Kama Ayurveda’s signature luxury gift wrapping, positioning retail as an extension of the treatment journey rather than a separate afterthought.

Treatments at Kama Ayurveda Spa at Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere range from £190 to £200, depending on the ritual selected.
