ANASA Wellness & Spa unveiled at Patmos Aktis following Luxury Collection relaunch

Patmos Aktis, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, has unveiled its renewed ANASA Wellness & Spa, following the resort's full renovation and repositioning under Marriott's The Luxury Collection. Set on Grikos Bay on the Greek island of Patmos, the spa reopens with a menu of new signature rituals, a three-brand product partnership and a seasonal wellness programme running through the summer.

The name ANASA derives from the Greek word for breath, and the concept draws on the spiritual heritage of Patmos, the rhythm of the Aegean and the island's long association with reflection and renewal. The renovated facilities include an indoor pool, sauna, steam room, relaxation lounge and three treatment rooms, one of which is a spa suite, alongside fully equipped changing areas and a dedicated beauty salon offering nail services. The ANASA Gym, a 24-hour fitness and movement studio, houses cardio equipment, strength-training facilities, functional training tools and free weights.

Manos Niotakis, General Manager of Patmos Aktis, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, said: "ANASA Wellness & Spa was envisioned as a natural extension of the spirit of Patmos: an island that invites reflection, balance and renewal. More than simply offering exceptional treatments, our ambition was to create a space where guests can truly disconnect from the pace of everyday life and reconnect with themselves. Every element of the experience has been thoughtfully curated to reflect the tranquillity, authenticity and timeless beauty of our destination."

Signature rituals rooted in the island's heritage

At the centre of the treatment menu are three signature rituals shaped by the island's natural landscape and healing traditions. The Hippocratic Vitality Ritual combines ancient Asklipieia and Hippocratic methods with eucalyptus cleansing, full-body exfoliation, warm botanical oils, heated stones and therapeutic massage. The Breath of Patmos, a 90-minute ritual, opens with a grounding foot cleansing ceremony and guided breathing techniques, followed by rhythmic massage, herbal oils, heated stones and a scalp massage. Aegean Renewal, a 120-minute full-body experience, brings together mineral-rich exfoliation, flowing massage, a nourishing body mask and a hydrating body application. Each treatment on the menu begins and ends with a gentle spa ceremony designed to encourage stillness before and after the experience.

A three-brand partnership approach

Rather than working with a single house brand, ANASA Wellness & Spa has partnered with three specialist spa brands. KOS PARIS combines Mediterranean botanicals with French skincare expertise, QMS Medicosmetics is known for its advanced collagen-led facial treatments, and Seaskin Life uses marine minerals and ocean-derived actives to support detoxification, hydration and renewal.

"The vision for ANASA Wellness & Spa was to create a wellness experience that reflects the unique identity of Patmos while offering guests a truly personalised journey. This is why we chose to collaborate with three complementary wellness partners—KOS PARIS, QMS Medicosmetics and Seaskin Life—each bringing a distinctive expertise, from Mediterranean botanicals and advanced skincare science to marine-based therapies. This allows guests not only to have more choice, but to ensure that they receive the treatment that is right for them," said Niotakis.

A summer wellness calendar‍ ‍

For the summer season, the spa has launched Journeys of Remembering, a weekly wellness calendar running onsite from 18 July to 22 August. The programme includes breathwork, guided meditation, journalling, creative workshops, hiking and children's art sessions.

"We want wellbeing at Patmos Aktis to extend far beyond the treatment room. Our seasonal wellness calendar has been designed to encourage guests to embrace the slower rhythm of the island through experiences such as breathwork, meditation, mindful movement and creative workshops. Together, these experiences invite guests to reconnect with themselves while discovering the authentic spirit of Patmos, creating a sense of renewal that stays with them long after their journey ends," Niotakis added.

The spa relaunch forms part of the wider transformation of Patmos Aktis, which reopened on 22 May for its first full season under The Luxury Collection, introducing 33 new beachfront suites with private pool options and a new Italian dining venue, Barolo Patmos. Originally developed in the 1960s as part of Greece's Xenia programme, the resort has been reimagined as a contemporary expression of Greek island living, set directly on Grikos Bay.

ANASA Wellness & Spa is now open at Patmos Aktis, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, to both hotel guests and the visiting public. Rooms start from £243 per night, based on two people sharing a Deluxe Room, and the new suites start from £288 per night, including breakfast.
